The good news is the Bengals will be getting back Chase after a one-game suspension, but players in protocol typically miss their next game and that could be the case for Higgins. To further complicate things for fantasy owners, the Bengals play on Thursday night, leaving even less time for Higgins to clear. It will be worth monitoring this week, but Higgins fantasy owners should probably be prepared to be without him this week.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow won’t be activated from injured reserve Saturday, ruling him out for Sunday’s game against the Patriots.

Burrow did get a full week of practice in, his first practices since his Week 3 injury. There’s a chance he’ll be active and start on Thanksgiving against the Ravens. It’ll be one more start for Joe Flacco, a start in which he will not have Ja’Marr Chase, who is serving a one-game suspension for spitting on Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey last week.

The Bengals activated TE Mike Gesicki to the active roster from IR, while signing DE Isaiah Foskey off the practice squad to the active roster. In addition, CB Cam Taylor-Britt was placed on IR.

With Ja'Marr Chase suspended for Week 12, we could see some legit fantasy usage for Gesicki, who is much closer to a slot receiver than a traditional tight end. Consider him a desperation streaming option, best left for deep leagues.

It looks like Higgins and Iosivas will operate as the top-two WRs. Jones and Tinsley have had very limited snaps this season and could be deeper options. It's possible the team uses Brown more as a receiver out of the backfield, and even Brooks. Gesicki and Fant could get more targets at TE as well. While Chase denied he spit, there is too much tape all over social media that shows otherwise. The Bengals play the Patriots in Week 12.

The NFL will review the Jalen Ramsey-Ja'Marr Chase punching/alleged spitting incident.

Ramsey was ejected for punching Chase, but Ramsey said after the game Chase spit on him. There are some close-up views of what appears to be spit, according to Rapoport, but Rapoport also said the referee doesn't believe it got to that level. Of course, the Eagles Jalen Carter was ejected for spitting on Dak Prescott before the first snap of the teams game back in Week 1, so it's possible Chase gets a game suspension if it's found he did spit on Ramsey.

Joe Burrow didn't want to reveal too much about when he could be playing for the Cincinnati Bengals again this season, but he does have a potential target date in mind.

Burrow's window is officially open as of yesterday and we reported the 21 days would take him to Week 14's game, which is an early December game. December looked to be his target return since the injury so the news of his new target date is encouraging. The story said Burrow didn't rule out the notion that the team's overall record will factor into that decision. Burrow’s recovery from turf toe surgery is on track and now Cincinnati will open Burrow’s 21-day practice window in hopes of having him in action sometime next month, the post went on to say. Burrow will likely be limited for bit in practice, but was was given a timeline to return in December. If the team uses the full practice window, it means Burrow could return Dec. 7, which is Week 14, when the Bengals travel to Buffalo.
