Still no Myles Garrett, Denzel Ward or DTR at today’s practice but Amari Cooper back after sitting out Wednesday with a rib injury.

All signs point towards Joe Flacco starting at quarterback, which can't necessarily be taken as a positive for Cooper. Flacco consistently fed his running backs while keeping the ball around the line of scrimmage in his five game with the Jets last season. Cooper shouldn't be considered more than a WR3.

Source: Browns WR Amari Cooper (groin) still was not feeling 100% ready to go this morning, but will give it a go in warmups today and go from there.

Cooper is still a game time decision, but was in pain this morning. If Cooper can't go, Moore and Peoples-Jones would likely suck up a bunch of the targets from the WR spot. The rookie Tillman could also get more involved, as could TE Njoku.

Per Zac, Elijah Moore was frequently targeted by Deshaun Watson throughout Wednesday's practice, mostly on quick passes. Their best connection of the day came in a red-zone 7-on-7 period for a touchdown as Moore used a double move and turned to see the ball delivered right where he wanted it. The Browns are clearly stressing three things: fast tempo, an attacking mindset on defense, and feeding wide receiver Moore.

This is good news for Moore and those of us who wanted to see him get another chance after his interesting talent set was left to die on the vine while catching passes from the Zach Wilsons of the world. If the Browns really do use him in the inside and outside, there is a chance we can see Moore in some 2WR sets this season.

The Browns are signing former Seahawks WR Marquise Goodwin to a 1-year deal. After trading for Elijah Moore, Cleveland adds a second WR this week.

Marquise Goodwin has never been a consistent producer for fantasy purposes, but this instills more speed in the Cleveland wide receiver room. Goodwin saw more time with the Seahawks last year than he had since the 2018 season, so even at 32 years old, he can eat up some snaps and help to stretch the defense.

Just mere hours after signing Mecole Hardman, New York has moved on from speedster Elijah Moore, who they drafted in the second round of the 2021 draft. It clears the way for Hardman to be the Jets WR4 while Cleveland adds a much-needed offensive weapon at the cost of a pick-swap. It's an easy win for quarterback Deshaun Watson and the Browns offense.

The Jets have agreed to terms with Mecole Hardman on a one-year deal worth up to $6.5M.

Hardman brings a lot of speed and a gadget option but he's probably not seeing the field any more often than a rotational WR3. Assuming Aaron Rodgers ever signs a contract, Hardman could operate as a lite version of a late career Ranndall Cobb.

Mike White is dealing with a rib injury after he was rocked throughout the Jets’ 20-12 loss at Buffalo, including being forced to leave twice because of a pair of particularly rough — but legal — hits. He went to the hospital after the game for precautionary exams, was cleared and flew home with the team.

Coach Robert Saleh said White’s rib injury will make him day to day, but he’s “hopeful” he’ll start Sunday against Detroit. White is planning to be under center with the Jets (7-6) trying to continue their playoff push.

“I’m going to prepare as such,” White said. “I feel like I can play. I feel like I’m ready to roll.”

White added from the story, “I feel good. I mean, I don’t feel like 100 bucks because I just played a football game. But, nah, I feel good.” Seems like White will be good to go for Week 15, but of course keep an eye on his practice status this week. He's got a potential high-scoring matchup with the Lions. He's played well since taking over for Wilson and has brought fantasy relevance to players like Wilson and Moore.

It’s no secret the Jets’ wide receivers weren’t happy with how they were being used (or targeted) with Wilson at quarterback. Things changed with White against the Bears, who admittedly had a secondary decimated by injuries. Elijah Moore, whose story of displeasure has been well-told by now, even got involved. Garrett Wilson was targeted early and often and finished with five catches for 95 yards and two touchdowns.

The story pointed out Wilson has scored four touchdowns this season, none thrown by Zach Wilson. Moore had only two targets, but they were good ones: a 42-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter, and a 22-yard touchdown in the third quarter. The story also speculated that with Davis (one catch, 9 yards) back in the lineup, the Jets look loaded at wide receiver — and maybe White is the right quarterback to get them the ball when they’re open.

Jets HC Robert Saleh confirmed they’re moving WR Elijah Moore to the slot.

The tweet went on to say Saleh added, "it’s a new position because we’ve been playing him outside for the most part." Saleh added the team is trying to find ways to utilize his strengths. Esden Jr. said in another tweet this is a big deal, because Moore did his best work in college from the slot. The Jets wanted to make him an outside guy that occasionally did some slot stuff, but they're flipping this and it works because Garrett Wilson is flashing on the outside. Those still holding Moore may want to hang on to him to see if this move works, and those needing WR help with a roster spot open could potentially also take a chance and claim him off waivers.

Corey Davis had cut out a decent niche inside the Jets' offense and was operating as a fantasy WR3 before being limited in Week 7's game against the Broncos. His departure in that game led to season-high snaps out wide for both Garrett Wilson and Jeff Smith. While the return of Elijah Moore could push Smith back into more of a rotational role, Wilson's usage should be secure as he continues to gel with quarterback Zach Wilson. Garrett and Moore should be considered Flex options heading into their Week 8 game against the Patriots.
