The Giants did not put Evan Engram on the physically unable to perform list, a good sign he is fully or nearly fully recovered. He is taking part in the limited work allowed on the field and on Wednesday is expected to join his teammates for Phase 2 activities, which allow players to wear helmets and “approved protective shirts’’ for practice.
Engram said he feels great but wouldn't go into detail as far as what he'll be able to do in practice. Engram just needs to stay on the field and he'll be among the TE1 options most, if not every week. He played a career-low eight games last year and missed 14 of 48 games in three years with the Giants.
