A.J. Brown’s knee flare-up puts Week 8 availability in doubt

Patriots WR AJ Brown, not spotted at practice today, is not practicing because of a knee issue that has flared up, sources say.

Brown also was listed on yesterday's injury report with an ankle. Knee was added, as well, and his status for Sunday is up in the air.

Fantasy Impact:

Brown managers should have a replacement ready. If he sits, Demario Douglas would become a stronger PPR WR3/FLEX option, while Hunter Henry would have additional TE1 upside. Kyle Williams would gain deeper-league appeal.

Another missed practice puts Spears’ PPR FLEX availability in doubt. If he sits, Tony Pollard would become a stronger RB2 with a chance to absorb additional receiving work, though his absence is suspect as well. Michael Carter and Julius Chestnut would be the next two up, but it would be a hard sell to start any of them on a non-performing offense.

The Seahawks will kick off their practice week Thursday afternoon ahead of Monday night's game against the Bears, and as expected, rookie running back Jadarian Price is returning to practice.

Fantasy Impact:

Price is worth stashing before Seattle settles its backfield rotation. His potential return, alongside Zach Charbonnet’s possible season debut, creates substantial risk for Emanuel Wilson’s workload. If both are available Monday, Wilson could fall from RB2 consideration into a much shakier FLEX role, while George Holani would become difficult to start.

Fantasy Impact:

Rhamondre Stevenson would become a stronger RB2 with RB1 upside if Henderson misses Sunday, particularly in PPR leagues where additional receiving work could raise his ceiling. Corey Kiner would become a deeper-league bench stash, but he would need a meaningful share of the workload to enter FLEX consideration.
