2026 Fantasy Football Rankings Breakdown: Quarterbacks
Our initial 2026 projections have been released, so it’s time to go position-by-position and briefly explain what I’m seeing in the projections as the draft season starts to take shape.

For reference, I’ll discuss my early rankings/projections, consensus rankings over at FantasyPros, and Underdog ADP, which I’ve found to be the sharpest in the industry. I’ll also include the player’s finish last season, whether it’s their full-season finish or their per-game ranking, if they missed time.
The Top 2
There’s only a consensus across the three sets of rankings when it comes to the first two quarterbacks–Josh Allen (QB1) and Lamar Jackson (QB20)–and while Jackson proved in 2024 that he has overall QB1 upside, he finished QB18 on a per-game basis last season, thanks in part to injury, and has missed 14 games in the last five seasons. Meanwhile, Allen hasn’t missed a game due to injury in the same span.
Given his production and durability, Allen belongs in a tier of his own, and that explains why he’s going in the middle of the third round while Jackson is going a full two rounds later.
The Next 4
My rankings and consensus rankings agree. The next four quarterbacks off the board should be Joe Burrow (QB34), Drake Maye (QB2), Jayden Daniels (QB33), and Jalen Hurts (QB7), in some order. However, Underdog ADP has Caleb Williams (QB6) a hair ahead of Maye, which seems a little aggressive. In this case, I think Maye is the better fantasy prospect despite Williams’ breakout season in his first year with Ben Johnson.
I have Williams at QB10, so I guess you could say I’m down on him, but I don’t really feel down on him. I just think this group of quarterbacks is pretty bunched up.
