Week 7 Good Vibes, Bad Vibes (Who Should I Start)

We have “old man” vibes this week as the TNF contest features two QBs with a combined age of 81 years old. Along with one Lombardi Trophy for each of them, Aaron Rodgers, 41, and Joe Flacco, 40, boast a combined 39 seasons in the NFL, 110,704 passing yards, 774 touchdowns, and 287 interceptions. When they hit the field on Thursday, it will be just the fourth time we get two 40+ year olds battling, and the other three times were Tom Brady and Drew Brees for three tilts in 2020.

Speaking of 41-year-olds and vibes, we had our first coach firing of the 2025 NFL season just six weeks in, as Brian Callahan was let go in Tennessee due to the poor 1-5 vibes there.

Here are the players giving the best or worst fantasy vibes ahead of Week 7 around the NFL.

Good Vibes

Quarterbacks

Jared Goff vs. Buccaneers

When Jared Goff plays at home, the vibes are solid compared to the road, as he’s averaged 23.35 fantasy points at Ford Field with a mere 15.1 in opposing stadiums this season. This week, he gets a Tampa Bay defense that sits 22nd in QB schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed (aFPA), and they let Sam Darnold and Mac Jones torch them for a combined 688 passing yards in the last two weeks. Fire up Goff this week for top 10 production.

Drake Maye @ Titans

The 2025 vibes are very good for Drake Maye as he’s the overall QB6 and QB7 on a per-game basis. On paper, the Titans appear stout against the QB, but they did allow Matthew Stafford and C.J. Stroud to top 17.5 fantasy points, and Maye has top-5 potential this week.
