Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Week 6: Sam Darnold Stands Out Again

Quarterbacks provided fantasy managers with plenty of touchdowns in Week 5. There were three quarterbacks who finished with four passing touchdowns, as well as four others who compiled three each. In total, 16 quarterbacks emerged with at least two touchdown passes.
Only the Vikings and Texans will be on a bye during Week 6, which helps with setting your lineups. Still, there are plenty of fantasy managers who will be looking for a streaming option at quarterback for the slate.
For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season progresses and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data.
To provide advice you can implement, candidates for streaming must be rostered in no more than 40% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues.

Week 5 Recap
We had two of our recommendations from last week finish inside the top-10 at quarterback. Sam Darnold was QB3, throwing for 341 yards and four touchdowns in a loss to the Buccaneers. Tua Tagovailoa landed at QB9, throwing for 256 yards and three scores.
On the negative side of things, Bryce Young couldn’t capitalize on a great matchup against the Dolphins. The Panthers won, but he threw for just 198 yards to go along with two touchdowns and one interception. Young has thrown for fewer than 200 yards in four of his five games.

Top Quarterback Streaming Picks
Sam Darnold (Seahawks) at Jaguars
Darnold completed a staggering 82.4% of his passes against the Buccaneers. He has now completed 73.1% of his attempts for the season, which is on pace to be the highest mark of his career. While his yardage totals haven’t always been great, Darnold has racked up multiple touchdowns in three of the last four games. This comes on the heels of him finishing last season with 35 touchdown passes with the Vikings.
The Seahawks will catch the Jaguars on a short week after they played the Chiefs on Monday Night Football. The Jaguars have a winning record, but they rank 22nd in aFPA to quarterbacks. Part of their struggles against quarterbacks is that they have generated just seven sacks all season. With how well Darnold is playing right now, this matchup against the Jaguars shouldn’t scare fantasy managers away from streaming him.
