Dynasty NFL Draft Team Needs: NFC

It’s April and the NFL Draft is fast approaching. With pre-draft cuts, signings and trades all but over until teams begin sending their envelopes to the podium, we are digging into each NFL team and what positions they are likely to be attacking in the NFL Draft.

Each team is listed in alphabetical order below, with fantasy-relevant team needs to be listed in order of importance and my subjective grade for that landing spot. Our AFC version is already up and we also have an article outlining every NFL team’s real-life draft needs.

Arizona Cardinals

Team Needs: Tight End, Running Back

TE Landing Spot Grade: - C

Arizona has ranked 29th (12.3%) and 31st (10.4%), respectively, over the last two seasons in tight end target share with Dan Arnold’s 31-438-4 2020 season leading the way as the best output since Jermaine Gresham’s 61-target 2016 campaign. Kyler Murray will always have the propensity to take off with the ball if his wide receiver reads are covered but there is scoring upside if they end up spending a third- or fourth-round pick on the position.

RB Landing Spot Grade: B-

Running back is quite low on their list of team needs but the current depth chart of Chase Edmonds and a group of borderline UDFA guys doesn’t strike fear into anyone. Though I do love Edmonds, he doesn’t have the bell-cow upside that would block the way for a rookie to get touches.
