Week 5 Fantasy Football Practice News & Notes for Thursday

Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (right wrist) took full practice reps again Thursday. Bortles is on track to play in Week 5.

Vikings QB Sam Bradford (knee) took limited practice reps Thursday. This means that Bradford has a chance to play against the Bears. His return would be good news for Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen and Kyle Rudolph.

Raiders QB Derek Carr (back) did not practice Wednesday. It sounds as if Carr’s recovery is ahead of schedule, and he could return as soon as Week 6. E.J. Manuel will start against Baltimore.

Colts QB Andrew Luck (right shoulder) missed practice Thursday after taking limited reps Wednesday. He’s out for Week 5, but is working his way back. Stephen Holder reported that he’s working on a three-week recovery timeline.

Titans QB Marcus Mariota (hamstring) took limited practice reps again Thursday. Mariota did a bit more on Thursday, but he hasn’t yet tested his injured hamstring. Owners should have a Plan B in place.

Bengals QB AJ McCarron (achilles) took full practice reps Thursday after being limited Wednesday.

Jets QB Josh McCown (right shoulder) took full practice reps again Thursday. McCown is fully expected to play in Week 5.

Panthers QB Cam Newton (right shoulder) took limited practice reps again Thursday. After a big Week 4, Newton should face a tougher test in Detroit.

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (not injury related) returned to full practice reps Thursday after missing Wednesday. No worries here.

Chiefs QB Alex Smith (ankle) took full practice reps again Thursday. Smith will be out there against Houston.
