Jalen Coker, Bryce Young cleared for Thursday night

Darin Gantt

Oct 28 · 2:29 PM EDT

Jalen Coker and Bryce Young have no injury designation against Green Bay. Coker had been listed with a shoulder injury and Young with a knee injury.

Fantasy Impact:

Coker can stay in lineups as a WR2, while Young is available as a QB1 streaming option. McMillan remains a strong start with Carolina’s starting quarterback and receiving partner cleared. Metchie and the other depth receivers do not gain an injury-driven starting opportunity.

Panthers WR Jalen Coker listed as full on Wednesday’s estimated injury report

Darin Gantt

Oct 14 · 5:02 PM EDT

The Panthers listed Jalen Coker as a full participant on Wednesday’s estimated injury report as he returns from a quadriceps injury. Carolina did not practice Wednesday; Coker was on the field Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Coker is back in the WR2 conversation against Philadelphia if he progresses through the week without a setback. His return would push Tremayne and Metchie toward deeper-league bench roles, while McMillan remains a strong starter. Having both primary receivers available would also strengthen Young’s case as a streaming quarterback.

Panthers say TE Darren Waller looks 'big and fast'

Joe Person on X

Sep 07 · 3:57 PM EDT

Asked how Darren Waller has looked, Dave Canales said: "Big and fast."

Related players: Tommy Tremble, Ja'Tavion Sanders

Fantasy Impact:

Person went on to say the Panthers used a slow ramp up with Waller this summer after his soft-tissue issues with the Dolphins coming off his one-yr retirement. But the veteran TE expects to be active Sunday vs. the Bears, Person added. Waller had some nice games last season getting back into action. He had six TDs in nine games, but those six TDs came in just four different contests. Waller averaged just 2.67 catches a game last year and had three or less catches in seven of his nine games. The Panthers TE situation seems like one to wait-and-see on, especially with a questionable passing game and QB situation. The Panthers have Tremble and Sanders on the roster as well.

Panthers sign TE Darren Waller

Pro Football Talk

Aug 17 · 11:03 AM EDT

The Panthers have made it official with Darren Waller.

Carolina announced on Monday that Waller has signed with the club.

It was reported last week that the veteran tight end had agreed to terms on a one-year deal.

Related players: Ja'Tavion Sanders, Tommy Tremble

Fantasy Impact:

Waller, 33, came out of retirement to play for the Dolphins last season. He caught 24 passes for 283 yards with six touchdowns in nine games. The touchdowns put Waller on the fantasy radar despite averaging just over two catches a game. Waller could again be a red zone target in Carolina and could slide in ahead of Sanders, who was a nice prospect but missed four games in 2025 and averaged less than 15 receiving yards per game. Waller is more of a later-round TE2 option to take a chance on.
