The Carolina Panthers have traded WR Robbie Anderson to the Arizona Cardinals less than 24 hours after he was kicked off his own sideline.

Fantasy Impact:

Though Marquise Brown went down with a foot injury that could hold him out for a minimal amount of time, it's hard to see Anderson garnering a large role with the Cardinals. DeAndre Hopkins returns from suspension Week 7 and is guaranteed to be a target hog. Anderson should not be a waiver wire priority.

Panthers WR Robbie Anderson was seemingly thrown out of Sunday’s game against the Rams by interim head coach Steve Wilks.

Fantasy Impact:

The drama seems to continue even after the team moved on from Matt Rhule. Anderson was seen getting in the face of an assistant coach and Wilks apparently had enough of Anderson and sent him to the locker room. Anderson was already the subject of trade talks as he has wanted out of Carolina for a while. His wish may soon be granted. He very well may have just played his final game as a Panther.

Jaguars trade WR Laviska Shenault to the Panthers

After two seasons in Jacksonville, Laviska Shenault has been shipped over to the Panthers. Exact trade details have not been released yet.

Fantasy Impact:

The 2021 season would prove to be more productive than Shenault's rookie season, but most of his usage came close to the line of scrimmage, as his 5.5 average depth of target will attest to. He may be more of a threat to Christian McCaffrey's pass game usage than a significant threat to any of the wide receivers. If anything, this provides another weapon for Baker Mayfield, who is currently ranked as 4for4's QB24.

Unsurprisingly after Sam Darnold's lackluster 2021 and the trade for Mayfield, it looks like the latter is in the driver seat as the team's QB1.

Fantasy Impact:

Per the article, “He’s definitely improving,” Panthers coach Matt Rhule said of Mayfield. “He gets more and more of a feel of what he can do at the line of scrimmage. What he’s done in 10 days is pretty impressive — or 10, 11 practices. He’s making really good jumps.” Mayfield would add stability to the skill position group like Darnold would not. This is good news for the WR group.
