Harbaugh: Plan not to give RB Derrick Henry 30+ carries per game

John Harbaugh said the Ravens didn’t bring Derrick Henry to Baltimore with the plan to give him 30+ carries each game.

Fantasy Impact:

Jackson ran 16 times in Week 1 to Henry's 13. Zay Flowers had two runs with Hill getting just one. Hill was involved in the passing game with six catches, however. For what it's worth, Jackson missed practice Monday with no word form the team as to why, but it sounds like the Ravens don't play to change their offense. It remains to be seen if Jackson can handle that many runs a week going forward. It's possible Mitchell, upon his return at some point this season, could help out in the run game but he doesn't seem to be close to a return just yet.

Ravens RB Keaton Mitchell (knee) to remain on PUP list

Baltimore is expected to leave RB Keaton Mitchell on the Physically Unable to Perform List, which means he will be ineligible to play the first four games of the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Mitchell burst onto the scene last year and was a very popular pickup that paid off for a couple of weeks before he went down for the season. Hill will likely get the call to compliment Henry, and Ali could get a chance as well. Ali was a popular, late-round dynasty name this past spring.

Ravens HC John Harbaugh doesn't expect RB Keaton Mitchell to return until during the season

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said RB Keaton Mitchell is “on schedule” in his recovery from the torn ACL he suffered in Week 15, but he will not be back for training camp, and he is not expected back until “sometime during the season. It’s not like right around the corner.”

Fantasy Impact:

Hill and Ali will have a chance to lock down a backup role early in the season, but it remains to be seen exactly how large that will be. All three deserve dart-throw considerations behind Henry at the end of drafts.

Derrick Henry to sign with Ravens on two-year deal

Free-agent Derrick Henry is signing a two-year, $16 million deal worth up to $20 million, including $9 million fully guaranteed in the first year with the Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Impact:

This is a truly terrifying backfield if Keaton Mitchell is fully recovered by the beginning of the season. Henry will usurp Gus Edwards' goal-line role, which led to the former Raven scoring 13 rushing touchdowns, with 12 of them coming from within the five-yard line. Henry is a top-10 back, even with a truncated role.
