Ravens sat RB Keaton Mitchell Week 1 because of numbers crunch

John Harbaugh said Keaton Mitchell's healthy scratch was a result of a numbers crunch.

When the Ravens are using Mitchell, they're using him on "designer plays," Harbaugh said. Sounds like it was hard to justify his activation for a few plays given Buffalo's attention to him.

Fantasy Impact:

Mitchell was so good two years ago as a change of pace back before his knee injury, and unfortunately wasn't able to get back to form last season. In this past preseason, Mitchell looked good running for over 60 yards and a TD in one game. So it was quite interesting to see the team go with Hill and Ali over Mitchell in Week 1. At this point, it doesn't seem like Mitchell is worth stashing on typical fantasy rosters, and those who own him in deeper leagues or dynasty leagues will need to monitor how this plays out over the next couple of weeks.

A sigh of relief for the Raiders and Bowers’ fantasy owners. Bowers started his second NFL season in a very nice way with 103 yards on five catches as the Raiders scored the Week 1 win in New England. Bowers sounds like he’ll be ready to go for the Raiders’ home opener next Monday night against the Chargers.

Raiders TE Brock Bowers is questionable to return to Sunday’s game against the Patriots with a knee injury.

Fantasy Impact:

Bowers limped off the field after running an in route during the fourth quarter. He was having a strong game with 103 yards on five catches. Hopefully the injury isn’t too serious. We could get some kind of update after the game.
