Tory Horton, who had his final college season cut short due to multiple injuries in his leg, has played as well as any of the young guys through three weeks of camp. He’s earned many reps with the first-team offense beside Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp.

Fantasy Impact:

It's just another day of positive reports when it comes to Horton, who looks like he'll at least be the team's WR3 to start the season. As we talked about many times before, it's also easy to see Horton passing Kupp on the depth chart as well, should everything fall into place for the rookie. The story went on to say: because of Horton's shiftiness, soft hands, athleticism, catch radius and speed, Horton is in the mix to be the punt returner. He'll be a player to keep an eye on in the team's next preseason game against the Chiefs, and it looks like he should be someone to keep an eye on later in redraft leagues.

The rookie WR caught a red zone TD pass from Sam Darnold in the team's first preseason game. Valdes-Scantling was again working a lot with the second team, the post went on to say. Horton has been a name to keep an eye dating back to right after the NFL Draft, thanks to our friend over at DLF. There is a path for Horton to climb up to the team's WR2 if Kupp's struggles and injury issues from last season creep into this season.

“[Tory Horton is] making multiple plays every day,” coach Mike Macdonald said after Saturday’s practice.

Enough to make a climb on the team’s depth chart.

In Saturday’s open practice at Lumen Field, Horton typically worked as the starter in three-receiver sets along with veterans Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp and ahead of veteran free agent signee Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

Fantasy Impact:

Teammates of Horton have already been impressed and are calling him the "steal of the draft," which is the basis of the story. Our friends at Dynasty League Football have said to target Horton in dynasty league drafts, at least in the middle rounds. As for redraft leagues, he still has some climbing to do on the depth chart to have value in typical leagues, but it's not totally out of the question he could end up passing Kupp, who struggled last year and has been hit with injuries as well. Horton will be someone to keep and eye on in camp and preseason games.
