We were led to believe Ravens TE Dennis Pitta's 2013 season had been wiped out after he underwent surgery to repair a dislocated hip two weeks ago. That may not be the case.

We learned Monday that an unnamed Baltimore Ravens coach told TheMMQB.com's Peter King that Pitta could return at some point this season. The coach didn't know the percentage chance, but said "it's not zero."

A day later, Ravens coach John Harbaugh has confirmed the team's hopes for their starting tight end. Harbaugh explained Tuesday that Pitta hasn't gone on injured reserve because they want to be sure he's actually done for the year first.

Fantasy Impact:

It's still probably a long shot, and certainly doesn't seem worth it to hold him on your roster most of the season for a chance at what is likely one or two games. But deep leagues and deep keeper leagues may have a savvy owner or two who can take him late, stash him away and then just give up a late round pick to keep him in 2014.
