Colts QB Riley Leonard has a Grade 1 PCL sprain.
Related players: Philip Rivers, Brett Rypien
Rapoport said, "that's not the bad kind" in reference to the sprain, but Leonard's status is still up in the air for Week 15. The plan is for Rivers to join the practice squad and Leonard would start if he could, according to the post. Rapoport also said there is a chance Leonard wouldn't be able to play, but didn't say who would start if that was the case. Rapoport added Rivers has helped to work with young QBs before the NFL Draft, a list that includes Drake Maye, Bo Nix … and Leonard. Rapoport also added that Rivers - who as we just reported - actually worked out on Monday night for the Colts, and he could also serve as another set of eyes and ears for Leonard - as he did in the pre-draft process.

A report on Monday said that quarterback Philip Rivers would work out for the Colts on Tuesday, but things are moving more quickly on Indianapolis.
Per multiple reports on Tuesday morning, Rivers actually had his workout with his former team on Monday night.
Related players: Riley Leonard, Brett Rypien
Those reports indicate Rivers, who retired after the 2020 season, threw the ball well during the workout, according to the story. The story added there is no word on any agreement at this time. Leonard is dealing with a knee injury and it seems as if his status for Week 15 is cloudy at best. There is also no word if Rivers, if signed, would start over Leonard or is just insurance. It's hard to imagine Rivers coming in and leading your fantasy team through the playoffs, but in deeper superflex or multi-quarterback leagues where QBs fly off your waiver wire, maybe Rivers is worth grabbing - just in case.

It’s been trending this way all week, but the Chargers will officially have their staring quarterback when they play the Eagles on Monday night.
Quarterback Justin Herbert is active and set to start despite undergoing surgery to repair his fractured left hand last Monday.
The story said during pregame warmups, Herbert has been sporting a balky glove with extra protection on his left hand. But he has also been simulating taking snaps from under center. Herbert was a limited participant in all three days of practice this week before being listed as questionable.
