3 Overvalued Tight Ends for 2026

Tight end has become a deeper fantasy position than it was only a few seasons ago, but that doesn’t mean we should treat every TE1-level option the same. Brock Bowers and Trey McBride are being drafted as legitimate difference-makers; Colston Loveland and Tyler Warren are priced for another step forward, and there are several intriguing options in the middle and later rounds.

If we’re spending a seventh-, eighth-, or even 10th-round pick on a tight end, we should be getting either a meaningful weekly advantage or a realistic path toward one. Otherwise, there are enough late options and streaming candidates to use that draft capital elsewhere.

For this exercise, I compared current 4for4 Multi-Site ADP with a 69-player sample of 2025 tight end usage and efficiency, including targets per route run, yards per route run, route participation, first-read involvement, yards after the catch, first downs per route, and expected fantasy points. The three players below aren’t necessarily bad fantasy options, but their current prices leave me less interested than the market.
