Week 13 Sneaky Starts & Sleepers

All but the luckiest fantasy owners at some point need to find the proverbial diamond in the rough—a waiver wire or bench player capable of putting up some points in a pinch. This weekly feature is dedicated to that part of fantasy football. It's not pretty, but it's part of the game.

As of Week 4, we are now using 2025 data for our Hot Spots reports and aFPA rankings. It will continue to update as the season progresses, and we started using a rolling 10-week window in Week 12. Remember, the higher the number, the better the matchup.

Due to the compressed nature of Thanksgiving week, I’m going to go with a shorter, bullet-point format for each position.

Quarterbacks

  • If Joe Burrow (@ BAL, 10) and Jaxson Dart (@ NE, 23) are back, they can both be deployed as low-end QB1s.

  • Jacoby Brissett (@ TB, 24) has thrown for an average of 315/1.83, while the Bucs have allowed an average of 262/1.73 to opposing quarterbacks this season.

  • Jordan Love (@ DET, 28) may find himself in negative game script and in a good matchup against the Lions, who have allowed an average of 2.29 total touchdowns to quarterbacks since Week 5.

  • Trevor Lawrence (@ TEN, 21) isn’t a confident start, but the Titans have allowed multiple touchdowns to Sam Darnold, Justin Herbert, Daniel Jones, and Drake Maye, just since Week 7.

  • If C.J. Stroud (@ IND, 18) returns, fantasy managers could do worse, considering the Colts have allowed an average of 264/1.45 to enemy passers this season.
