Mostert's return would be another strong addition to the 49ers offense that was decimated by injuries. The question would be how much work Mostert would get with Jerick McKinnon and Jeff Wilson playing well enough. All three would fall into RB2/3 territory in Week 5 with Mostert's return.

The 49ers cannot catch a break on the injury front. McKinnon played well in his first extended action in over two years, but Jeff Wilson Jr. outproduced him. McKinnon would get a fair share of touches if he plays Sunday against the Eagles, but it would not be surprising to see him sit a week to keep his bruised ribs from getting worse. Jeff Wilson Jr. would get the heavy workload if McKinnon could not play.

49ers’ RB Tevin Coleman is expected to miss “multiple weeks” with the knee injury he suffered Sunday, per source. So 49ers are expected to be without Coleman and Raheem Mostert on Sunday at the Giants.

McKinnon now finds himself as the possible lead back, or at very least sharing time with Wilson. McKinnon seems like the back to play especially in PPR leagues. He finished with an 8-92-1 rushing line while Wilson carried twice for three yards. The 9ers are on the road against the Giants this weekend.
