Titans designated Julio Jones to return to practice from IR.

The Titans take on the Jags this week but it's unclear if Jones will be activated for Week 14. Jones last played in Week 7. A Jones return likely pushes down Westbrook, Rogers and Hollister on the depth chart.

It appears they’ve found Joey Slye’s replacement. According to multiple reports, Washington will sign Brian Johnson off of the Bears’ practice squad.

Johnson was 8-of-8 on field goals and 5-of-8 on extra points while playing four games with the Saints earlier this year. He was let go in favor of Brett Maher after missing two extra points in a 23-21 loss to the Titans in Week 10.

Washington has already churned through three kickers, but will need a fourth after Joey Slye suffered a hamstring injury late in the first half of the Football Team’s win over the Seahawks on Monday.

Slye was trying to chase down defensive end Rasheem Green after a blocked extra point when the kicker pulled up while running. He kicked off on the next play, but was unable to handle the duties in the second half. Via Ben Standig of TheAthletic.com, Rivera said in a Tuesday morning interview on 106.7 The Fan that Slye’s hamstring will keep him out for a minimum of three weeks. That would seem to suggest that Slye will go on injured reserve. Rivera also noted that he sent word for scouts to start looking for kicking help at halftime.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the team expects Ezekiel Elliott to have a serious load against New Orleans.
No rest for Zeke.

Last week there was talk of the team shutting down Zeke because of a knee injury. However, Elliott practiced fully on Monday which was a sign the team wasn't easing up on him heading into Week 13. However, with an obvious knee issue and a great option in Pollard, it's hard to imagine Pollard won't be involved, at least as much as he has been. Over the last three weeks, Pollard has touched the ball 17, 9 and then 14 times this past week on Thanksgiving.

For the Cowboys, RB Zeke Elliott (knee) was a full participant, a sign he’s preparing to play through the ailment Thursday.

It was reported the Cowboys were going to consider shutting Zeke down to get him ready for the playoffs, but a full-go status on Monday indicates that won't be the case - at least for now. Looks like Elliott will play on Thursday night at the Saints but expect Pollard to maybe get some extra work.

Week 15 will be the first eligible return date for the rookie out of North Carolina. Carter had found himself in a fantasy relevant role despite New York’s struggles. The high-ankle sprain is one to monitor as his availability may not be predictable.

The Jets will deploy a committee of Tevin Coleman and Ty Johnson for Zach Wilson’s backfield in a matchup against the Houston Texans.

Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy spoke with reporters Friday, stating that as the season progresses, the more concerned he is about RB Ezekiel Elliott's health.

“It’s that time of year. Zeke’s running style is ferocious. He gives a pounding and he takes some hits,” McCarthy said. “We need to evaluate that and this week we’ll see what the preparation looks like for him.”

A slower Elliott has been a topic of conversation regardless of the time of season. Tony Pollard shined in Dallas' Week 12 loss and continues to produce similarly/out-produce Zeke. This could mean a shift of carries to Pollard and is worth monitoring.

Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott left Sunday’s game for a brief time after aggravating his knee injury, but he was able to get back on the field and played 69 percent of the team’s offensive snaps.

Things didn't look good for Elliott after the injury but as the story said he was able to return to the game. The Cowboys play the Raiders in the middle game on Thanksgiving.

Jets running back Michael Carter is expected to miss a couple of weeks with a low-grade high ankle sprain, head coach Robert Saleh said Monday afternoon. Carter went down with the injury early in the third quarter of Sunday’s 24-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Carter had 63 yards on nine carries before getting hurt. With Zach Wilson set to return sooner than later, and Elijah Moore emerging at WR, the Jets will have to wait a couple of weeks to have all three of their rookie centerpieces on offense be on the field together. Coleman and Johnson will likely take over most of the RB duties with Carter out of the lineup.

Jets HC Robert Saleh told reporters Friday that RB Tevin Coleman (hamstring) and WR Corey Davis (hip) will play Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills.

This could be bad news for fringe Jets players but an overall plus for the offense against one of the best defenses in football.
