Kitna has oblique muscle injury

Sunday afternoon, Cowboys front office officials were at Valley Ranch are discussing what to do with the quarterback position.

Last week the team placed starter Tony Romo on injured reserve, ending his season because of a broken left collarbone. Saturday night, Jon Kitna, Romo's backup, suffered a left oblique muscle injury in Saturday's loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said the team most likely will get a quarterback if Kitna is unable to play.

Stephen McGee will start Sunday's regular season finale at Philadelphia in place of Kitna. Finding a backup for McGee is another issue.
