Raiders WR Henry Ruggs (knee, out) missed practice Friday after taking limited reps Thursday and is out for Week 3. Given the matchup against New England, it's difficult to like anyone in the Raider passing game this week other than Darren Waller, but Ruggs' absence will open up opportunity for Hunter Renfrow and Bryan Edwards. Nelson Agholor and Zay Jones may see extra snaps as well.

Raiders WR Tyrell Williams (foot) did not practice Wednesday or Thursday. Williams is reportedly dealing with plantar fasciitis and it’s “not getting much better” per HC Jon Gruden. He seems doubtful for Week 7 at this point. The Raiders traded for Zay Jones to add to their receiving corps that includes Trevor Davis, Hunter Renfrow and Keelan Doss.

The Browns have traded wide receiver Corey Coleman to the Bills for a draft pick.

UPDATE: Browns received a 2020 seventh-round pick in exchange for Coleman.

Fantasy Impact:

Coleman has just 718 yards receiving in two seasons since being a first-round pick of the Browns in 2016. In particular, he has struggled to stay healthy, missing 13 games in that time frame. This trade should present him with an opportunity to prove himself, though. Buffalo does not figure to be a high-volume passing offense, but boast very little at wide receiver. Jordan Matthews and Deonte Thompson vacated 87 targets in this offense from a year ago. If Coleman can beat out Zay Jones, there should be a quality role waiting for him. This is also an opportunity for Buffalo to find their wide receiver of the future for quarterback Josh Allen on the cheap. Kelvin Benjamin will be a free agent at the end of 2018.

The Bills have activated wide receiver Zay Jones from the non-football injury list.

Fantasy Impact:

It has been a tumultuous offseason for Jones, but he is still in great position for playing time on a Buffalo team starving for offensive playmakers. He isn't a fantasy option right now due to the quarterback situation in Buffalo, but that could change quickly if he can show why he was a second-round draft choice in 2017.

Bills WR Zay Jones has to 'earn his way'

The Bills wide receiver corps is one of the league’s thinner ones heading into training camp, which would seem to bode well for 2017 second-round pick Zay Jones‘ chances of seeing a lot of playing time once September rolls around.

While that may be the case, General Manager Brandon Beane made it clear last week that Jones won’t be guaranteed anything this season.

“He’s not just going to necessarily go right to the top of the line,” Beane said during an appearance on WGR 550, via NewYorkUpstate.com. “He’ll have to earn his way. Part of that will just be just getting his feel. He’s only played with Nathan Peterman. He has not got to play with Josh Allen or AJ McCarron yet. So that bond there will just have to form.”

Fantasy Impact:

Jones had a quiet rookie season dealing with a shoulder injury. As the story pointed out, it's not an overwhelming list of WRs, so Jones certainly has a chance to make his mark and earn a key role in the offense.
