Bad news on all accounts. Brown was expected to miss multiple weeks so the Godwin and Gronk injuries are ones to watch as Sunday approaches.

Buccaneers HC Bruce Arians told reporters Wednesday that WR Chris Godwin is dealing with a foot injury. The team has signed WR Breshad Perriman.

Perriman could play as soon as Sunday if Godwin is out. The Bucs are also without Antonio Brown.

Brown, of course, is dealing with an ankle injury and as of today his status doesn't look good for Week 10 against Washington, especially after coming off a bye week. Johnson could see additional snaps but look for Godwin and Evans to continue to pick up the slack if Brown is out of the lineup.

Brown has been excellent for the Bucs but his ankle injury was too much to overcome the same week it happened. Look for Tyler Johnson to replace Brown in three-wide sets.

As Auman went on to say, it's hard to know what to think about Godwin's injury, because it's newly listed in the final practice before a game, which Auman added "isn’t a good thing." Godwin owners will need to monitor this leading up to Thursday night. Brown could soak up a bunch of Godwin's targets if Godwin has to miss Week 1. On a related note, Brown did not practice Tuesday, but Auman noted it was a veteran maintenance day.

Looks like the band is back together for 2021, and both Chris Godwin and Mike Evans should continue to see similar target share as Tampa Bay attempts another Super Bowl run.

Godwin said he wants a long term deal, but if he’s tagged he’s fine with it and will work for a long term deal next year.

It appears free agent wideout Chris Godwin won't be playing for a hometown discount in 2021. Head coach Bruce Arians has been vocal about wanting to keep Godwin in a Bucs uniform, so it will be interesting to see if they franchise him or let the 24-year old explore other offers.

Chris Godwin’s numbers are down this year because he missed four games with three separate injuries (concussion, hamstring and finger), but he’s still just two catches behind Mike Evans for the team lead in receptions.
