According to Adam Schefter, Bradley Chubb and a 2025 fifth-round pick will be moved for a 2023 first-round, 2024 fourth-round selection and running back Chase Edmonds.

And Phillip Lindsay (12 attempts), who missed Miami's last game due to an ankle injury, also tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.

When the Dolphins didn't do much to improve their RB room in the NFL Draft, attention immediately turned back to Gaskin. But throughout camp the Dolphins have indicated this was going to be a committee situation, and there was a lot of buzz when Brown started a preseason game and outsnapped Gaskin. But this is at least encouraging news to see Gaskin has improved in the pass blocking area and it could mean he stays on the field more in those situations.

“Pick one and put them in. We like all three guys. They do some things,” HC Brian Flores on his thought process for the backs rotation.

Twitter was buzzing during the Dolphins game as Brown got the start and a majority of the touches. Beat writers pointed out that while Brown has had a good camp, Gaskin has been just as good, if not better, according to those reporters. The Dolphins were rumored to draft or bring in a bigger name at the position, but that didn't happen and the hope by many would be that Gaskin would be the lead back. That could still happen, but at least for now, there is some coach-speak that the team likes all of their backs.
