There is likely more of a rush to get Brissett back after the team lost to the Dolphins with Hoyer under center. This week the Colts get the Jaguars.

Colts QB Jacoby Brissett (knee) took limited practice reps Wednesday. He has a sprained MCL and is expected to sit out, but the limited Wednesday reps indicate that he's trying to get on track to play. If he's out, Brian Hoyer will be a Sneaky Start against the Dolphins.
According to Brissett, his left knee — he sprained his medial collateral ligament in the second quarter against the Steelers and couldn’t return to the game — feels significantly better than it did on Sunday.
As we know, Brissett's MRI came back clean and the end result was a sprain. He hasn't been ruled out for Week 10, but the Colts play the Dolphins, which may be considered a winable game for the team to play it safe and stick with Hoyer.
He has a chance to play against the Dolphins, the story said, but there is “nothing definite” on his status for this week yet, according to Mortensen. That follows a PFT report earlier in the day. It seems logical the Colts maybe play it safe and sit him out for Hoyer in what should be a winable game against the Dolphins, but it's something for owners to monitor.
