Saints want more consistency from TE Coby Fleener

The New Orleans Saints expected more from tight end Coby Fleener than what he produced in the first two weeks.

He has three catches for 35 yards on 12 targets, a rate of production that falls below what the Saints have been accustomed to in recent seasons with Jimmy Graham and Benjamin Watson.

"I think there's been moments and yet it hasn't been as consistent as we'd like yet," Saints coach Sean Payton said of Fleener's play during a media teleconference Monday."

Fantasy Impact:

Fleener was targeted eight times in Week 2. He caught two of those, had his hands on two more and slipped on another route. QB Drew Brees took some blame on another pass that was overthrown, but overall it's been a disappointing start for Fleener and his fantasy owners. Payton also added Fleener is still a "work in progress," which at least indicates the team expects things to get better.
