Mike Thomas to start at WR for Lions

Veteran Mike Thomas, acquired by the Lions in a trade last month from Jacksonville, is expected to start at outside receiver against the Texans, with rookie Ryan Broyles staying in the slot.

Fantasy Impact:

Thomas used to be a pretty good PPR receiver during his days with the Jags and would have some potential here in the Lions pass-heavy offense. This week's matchup (Thanksgiving Day) is against the Texnas, who were torched by the Jags last week, but are still a very good defense. Thomas could have some value, but also comes with risk. He's starting in place of Titus Young, who lined up on the wrong side several times last week against the Packers and is inactive for at least this week. Better to take a wait-and-see approach with Thomas and Young and this whole situation.
