NFL Draft Rounds 2 & 3 Fantasy Football Winners and Losers
Rounds 2 and 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft saw plenty of fantasy-relevant players join their first NFL teams, with some boasting the possibility of immediate production and others landing in rough spots to emerge in 2026. With the new crop of athletes heading to their first NFL jobs, we also see some veterans come out winning due to a lack of investment in rookies at their positions or losing due to these young additions.
Keep in mind that the home run, slam dunk, and whatever other sports phrase we want to use picks happened on Thursday night, so assessing the fantasy value of the selections from the next two rounds is even more difficult to pinpoint. Some of these guys may become major fantasy players, while others won’t crack a starting lineup in 2026.
Here’s my stab at the biggest fantasy winners and losers from Rounds 2 and 3.

Round 2 & 3 Winners
Chris Bell and Caleb Douglas (WR), Dolphins
These two get lumped in together as winners since they were drafted to the most WR-needy team in the NFL. Chris Bell would likely have been off the board before the third round if he hadn't suffered a November ACL tear with December surgery, and he gives QB Malik Willis a solid outside target, while Caleb Douglas wins here as he was projected to go later in the draft, but jumped up the draft board. Miami moving on from both Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle this offseason created nearly 30% of available targets at the WR position for 2026, so given the current depth chart, either could easily emerge as a top option in this Dolphins passing game.
Veteran & Sophomore Running Backs
The Jeremiyah Love saga ended early when the Cardinals grabbed him at No. 3 overall, leaving many teams that needed an upgrade at the position to address it much later, or not at all, like the Titans, Commanders, and Giants. Cam Skatttebo, Tony Pollard, Jacory Croskey-Merritt, and Rachaad White all came out winners here. There's also the Jags, Panthers, and Vikings, who all have committee RB rooms, and only Minnesota added another piece, but it wasn't until pick 198 in Demond Claiborne.
The Bengals and Cowboys, despite their late-rounders from last year not seeing much of the field, didn't add any more significant depth at RB, which makes Jaydon Blue and Tahj Brooks "winners".
