Week 4 Sneaky Starts & Sleepers

All but the luckiest fantasy owners at some point need to find the proverbial diamond in the rough—a waiver wire or bench player capable of putting up some points in a pinch. This weekly feature is dedicated to that part of fantasy football. It's not pretty, but it's part of the game.

As of Week 4, we are now using 2025 data for our Hot Spots reports and aFPA rankings! It will continue to update as the season progresses, and we’ll start using a rolling 10-week window in Week 12. The higher the number, the better the matchup.

After my prop plays went 6-1 in Week 1, they went a dreadful 1-5 in Week 2 and 1-4 in Week 3, so I’m done handing out props for now!

We did enjoy several productive Sneaky Starts, including Caleb Williams (QB1), Daniel Jones (QB12), Marcus Mariota (QB6), Jordan Mason (RB4), Tony Pollard (RB15), J.K. Dobbins (RB12), Cam Skattebo (RB6), Rome Odunze (WR17), George Pickens (WR15), Juwan Johnson (TE13), Hunter Henry (TE1), Jake Ferguson (TE4), and Dalton Kincaid (TE3).

Quarterbacks

Caleb Williams (@ LV, 22) is currently the fantasy QB3 and should remain in lineups against the Raiders. Brock Purdy (vs. JAX, 22) is worth a start if he’s back from his toe injury.

Bo Nix, Broncos (vs. CIN, 27)

The Bengals defense has given up an average of 254 yards and 2.0 touchdowns to enemy quarterbacks through three weeks. Bo Nix has been up-and-down thus far, scoring 6.8, 20.2, and 13.4 against the Titans, Colts, and Chargers, respectively. Last year, Nix posted 219/3 with 31 yards rushing against Cincinnati.

Jordan Love, Packers (@ DAL, 32)

The Packers passing game was underutilized against the Browns, and I think Jordan Love and Co. will bounce back in a big way against the Cowboys, who have yielded an average of 300 yards and 2.33 touchdowns to enemy passers, with an additional 32 yards and 0.67 touchdowns given up on the ground. That works out to 27.9 fantasy points per game, with at least 24 points in all three games.
