Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (shoulder) has a shot to play next week against the Giants.

Fantasy Impact:

Worthy was ruled out for Sunday against the Eagles but him returning to practice, even on a limited basis, was a great sign and opened the door for an earlier return than expected. Certainly far from a guarantee. We’ll have to see how he practices this week, but the door is open for Worthy to play under the bright lights of Sunday Night Football next week on the road against the Giants. Marquise Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster will lead the charge at the position against the Eagles.

The Chiefs officially ruled out wide receiver Xavier Worthy for Sunday’s Super Bowl rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles with a shoulder injury.

Fantasy Impact:

The good news is Worthy did return to practice this week, even if just as a limited participant, just days after his friendly fire injury against the Chargers. Head coach Andy Reid indicated the odds were long that Worthy would play Sunday. He was originally listed as doubtful on Friday. Juju Smith-Schuster and Marquise Brown will lead the charge in the passing game against an Eagles secondary that has a stud in Quinyon Mitchell and a question mark in Adoree’ Jackson.

A good sign: Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy, who injured his shoulder just six days ago, returned to practice today on a limited basis.

Fantasy Impact:

The rumor has been that the team will try to have Worthy play through the injury with a brace, but it's hard to expect him back out on the field in Week 2. Brown is the most obvious beneficiary and should be considered a fringe WR2/3. Smith-Schuster will operate underneath with a limited ceiling ,while Thornton is a desperation boom/bust play.
