Browns WR KC Concepcion expected to practice on a limited basis

Mary Kay Cabot

Oct 14 · 12:52 PM EDT

Browns KC Concepcion (concussion) is progressing very well and is set to practice today. That’s remarkable considering he was knocked out cold when Jets Minkah Fitzpatrick hit him helmet to helmet.

Fantasy Impact:

Concepcion managers should retain an alternative until he clears concussion protocol. If he misses, Boston would have WR2 upside from additional targets, while Jeudy would enter deeper PPR FLEX consideration. Fannin remains a TE1 option and could benefit from a thinner receiving group.

Browns releasing WR Cedric Tillman

Adam Schefter

Aug 27 · 11:39 AM EDT

Browns are releasing veteran WR Cedric Tillman, per sources. Cleveland spent two early 2026 draft picks on wide receivers, and now Tillman is out.

Fantasy Impact:

Tillman’s departure confirms that Cleveland’s rookie receivers have passed him and further solidifies Concepcion and Boston near the top of the depth chart. It also improves the roster outlook for fringe options such as Bond, Corley and Wallace. Tillman could attract interest elsewhere, but his next destination will determine whether he retains any deep-league value.

Jets release WR Malachi Corley

ESPN

Aug 26, 2025 · 3:54 PM EDT

A year ago, the New York Jets wanted Malachi Corley so much that they traded up and selected him with the first pick in the third round of the 2024 NFL draft.

On Tuesday, they cut him, a source confirmed to ESPN.

Fantasy Impact:

There were jobs available in the Jets' receiving corps, but Corley was leapfrogged by a handful of players, including rookie free agents. He played 53 offensive snaps in the preseason, fifth among the New York receivers, but managed only one catch for 8 yards. He also returned four kickoffs for 101 yards, the story said.

Jets WR Garrett Wilson signs four-year, $130M extension

Adam Schefter

Jul 14, 2025 · 4:35 PM EDT

Jets and wide receiver Garrett Wilson reached agreement on a four-year, $130 million contract extension that includes $90 million guaranteed.

It marks the first time in NFL history that a receiver has received an average over $31 million after playing only three seasons. Wilson now will be under contract the next six seasons, through 2030.

Related Players: Josh Reynolds, Allen Lazard, Arian Smith, Malachi Corley

Fantasy Impact:

This is a massive vote of confidence from a team that desperately needs Wilson to play out of his mind to support a middling group of pass-catchers. Justin Fields isn't likely to be a voluminous passer, but Wilson presents an obvious opportunity to soak up a ton of the target share in 2025. We currently have him ranked as a mid-tier WR2.
