As the post went on to say, it's a tough blow for Miller, who was starting to carve out a role in the offense with 193 rushing yards and 1 TD on the year. Neal is likely next up behind Kamara, but Neal has just three carries on the season as a rookie this year. The Saints will most likely have to make a move for another running back. Miller was averaging over seven touches a game.

Beat writer Nick Underhill reposted Rapoport's report and confirmed Kamara is the kind of guy who wants to give everything to one city. However, it doesn't mean for the right price the Saints wouldn't move on from Kamara as they need assets going forward to become more of a contending team. This could be a situation to watch if you're a Kamara owner. A move to a contending team could increase fantasy value, but could also come with less of a workload.

The New Orleans Saints released veteran running back Cam Akers, the Saints announced Monday.

Fantasy Impact:

This news is really about who is still remaining to possibly claim the RB2 spot behind Kamara. Miller and veteran Edwards-Helaire still remain as does the rookie Neal, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury this summer. Miller is just 23-years-old while CEH is 26, and it's looking like it could be one of the two with Neal likely behind. The RB2 will also steal some carries as well, so this is a situation to monitor if you own, or plan to own, Kamara on your fantasy roster.
