Steelers WR Donte Moncrief returns to practice

Mike Tomlin routinely talks about injured players getting back on a moving train, which, loosely translated, means they better be ready to produce once they are healthy.

Donte Moncrief appeared to not only hop on to Tomlin’s train but took control of it as well after being an onlooker for a significant chunk of training camp with a broken ring finger.

Fantasy Impact:

Donte Moncrief returned to practice after a two-week absence due to a finger injury. He had been considered the No. 2 receiver after a strong spring, but the injury and a big preseason game from James Washington put his status in doubt. The good news for Moncrief is that he returned to practice and quickly picked up where he left off, catching three touchdown passes from Ben Roethlisberger in the process. He's still in the lead for the starting role opposite JuJu Smith-Schuster and that's a good place to be in Pittsburgh's pass-happy offense.
