Peyton Barber to the Redskins on a two-year deal, per source. Bucs’ 2018 leading rusher enters Washington fray.
Peyton Barber joins Adrian Peterson and Derius Guice in the Washington backfield for 2020. Barber's best season was in 2018, where he ran for 871 yards and five touchdowns, plus added another 92 yards and a score in the air. He'll compete for a roster spot and work on his new team.
From a fantasy perspective, the obvious winner here is Antonio Gibson, an exciting and versatile prospect that Ron Rivera compared to Christian McCaffrey on draft night. He averaged 15.6 yards per touch last year and led all skill position players in yards after contact per attempt. Adrian Peterson may begin the season as the RB1, and showed last year (211 carries, 898 yards in 15 games) that he's still capable of holding down the fort.
