Justin Watson making strong push for roster spot

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justin Watson has been impressing in camp and looks to be in the lead for the fifth wide receiver spot.

Fantasy Impact:

Watson has been impressing the Chiefs with his precise route running and could push for a weekly role if he can continue to make an impact during the preseason. Watson is currently the favorite to land the fifth wide receiver spot behind JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Mecole Hardman, and rookie Skyy Moore. Justyn Ross landing on season-ending injured reserve leaves an opportunity for Watson to emerge as a favorite of Patrick Mahomes. At this point, he is nothing more than an end-of-bench, deep league flier but is someone who could provide massive dividends relative to average draft position. Watson is someone to keep an eye on during the preseason.

Guerendo is already sidelined with a shoulder injury so things are pretty thin in the RB room right now. If CMC wasn't already slated for a giant workload, that looks just about locked in at this point. He's an easy first-round click.

Sounds like a rough day at practice for the Cowboys, but we shouldn't bump Ferguson down the ranks until we hear it's a more serious injury than it looks. As a clear option to be the No. 3 pass-catcher in a pass-heavy offense, he should be considered as a fantasy asset in the fringe TE1/2 range.

Sounds like something minor, but all fantasy eyes will be on him as we continue to try to make sense out of this backfield. Williams seems like the frontrunner to start the season as RB1, but with his and Sanders' inefficiency in recent years, the rookie is a very interesting target late in drafts.
