It's not surprising news as Hunt was charted off the field. Chubb is battling his own calf injury and with a short week, Thursday night game, may not be ready to go for Week 7. If he's not, that would leave the RB work to Johnson and the rookie Felton. It would be a tough matchup as the Browns host the Broncos.

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is expected to miss "several weeks" after suffering an MCL injury to his right knee, coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday.

Stefanski said Chubb would go on injured reserve, but that he expects him to return at some point this season, so there is a bit of good news. However, the story mentioned it could be six weeks. The team didn't put an official timetable on the injury, figuring Chubb will work hard to get back. While it's expected Hunt will take over, Johnson rushed for 95 yards against the Cowboys and could certainly see a share of the workload too.

The Browns signed former Jets RB Elijah McGuire to their roster in advance of tonight’s game against the Jets, source said.

Hilliard is out with a concussion, a hit to backfield depth for the Browns, the tweet added. McGuire could see some time behind Chubb Monday night, but Johnson could also play as well. McGuire was mostly a pass-catching, change of pace option with the Jets the past few years.
