Jets sign RB Ty Montgomery

RB Ty Montgomery, who also returns kicks, signed with the New York Jets, the team announced Thursday. Terms were not disclosed.

Fantasy Impact:

Montgomery will compete with Elijah McGuire to be LeVeon Bell's backup.

Fantasy Impact:

Conner active means Chase Edmonds should be no worse than in a 50/50 split, but loses his lead dog role. Moore has been used sporadically and is a true boom/bust play against the Rams.

Fantasy Impact:

Not a great sign for Jefferson, but maybe he had time spent with the trainers that limited his practice instead of a setback.

Fantasy Impact:

A second DNP is bad news for Conner, especially with Edmonds ailing as well.
