The Eagles offense was driving down the field and on 2nd-and-4, Jalen Hurts scrambled for a one-yard loss, and was slow to get up afterward. There was a (brief) moment of concern, before QB1 got back in the huddle and proceeded to throw the ball to A.J. Brown for a 27-yard touchdown. His day was over after the score, but not due to injury — the Eagles pulled most of their starters up 31-0.
In an interview with Pam Oliver after the game, Hurts admitted that he’d have to see what’s going on with his ankle, but surmised he’d be fine going forward. And, when asked about the injury in his press conference, Hurts mentioned moving past it quickly, “Just shook it off and came back and responded the next play.”
Fantasy Impact:
Hurts was seen hobbling a bit after the play, and as the story said, never returned to the game - but most of the starters didn't either. It's worth monitoring for owners who finally saw Hurts take off and run seven times in the win over the Raiders. The Eagles travel to the Commanders in Week 16 on Saturday, and while it seems Hurts should be good to go, perhaps the bigger concern is will the team limit his designed runs.
