49ers WR Kendrick Bourne has been removed from the reserve/COVID-19 list, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

Bourne will be needed Sunday against a solid Saints defense. He is a WR4/5 with Nick Mullens slinging the rock for the 49ers.

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan told KNBR that WR Kendrick Bourne has been cleared to travel with the team to New Orleans for their Week 10 game. Bourne was away from the team due to COVID-19 concerns.

This is encouraging news for a depleted receiving corps. Nick Mullens and the 49ers offense needs as many offensive players available for their game against the Saints.

The 49ers placed receiver Kendrick Bourne back on the COVID-19/reserve list Monday.

Bourne missed the 49ers’ loss to Green Bay on Thursday because of a positive COVID-19 test result the preceding Tuesday, but the team removed him from the reserve list after he subsequently registered consecutive negative tests.

Interesting news to say the least. Bourne will remain sidelined in Week 9 despite being healthy, which means that Trent Taylor and Richie James are expected to operate as the 49ers top two receivers on Thursday night. Richie James is our 36th ranked receiver for Week 9.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the 49ers have closed team facilities Wednesday after wide receiver Kendrick Bourne testied positive for COVID-19. Schefter notes that as of right now, Thursday Night Football between the 49ers and Packers is still set to be played tomorrow night.

Thursday Night Football is still tentatively set for tomorrow, but that could change later today in light of Bourne's positive test and the possibility he had contact with other players or staff. Fantasy managers with 49ers or Packers will need to monitor the news over the next 24 hours to make sure the game is played as scheduled.

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel and running back Jeff Wilson Jr., both of whom played major roles in Sunday's 33-6 win against the New England Patriots, are expected to miss extended time, according to coach Kyle Shanahan.

The 49ers said they purposely cut back on McKinnon's workload this past week (surprise fantasy owners) but it should mean he gets a bigger role this week. However, the rookie Hasty has looked good and could take some of the workload at RB.
