Ravens’ QB Lamar Jackson was limited at practice today due to a hip injury and TE Mark Andrews did not practice due to a knee injury.

It's worth keeping an eye on both of these players as the week progresses, but other reports suggested that Andrews's DNP was a rest day. We'll hopefully know more about both players on Thursday.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson or tight end Mark Andrews certainly could have qualified for this spot, but Rashod Bateman has flashed throughout training camp, showing off the skill set that Baltimore was so intrigued by when they selected him at No. 27 overall in the 2021 NFL draft.

According to the story, Bateman has shown off a strong connection with Jackson, catching almost everything that’s been thrown his way. He’s expected to take a massive jump in Year 2 with the departure of Marquise Brown, and early on at training camp he’s showing why. The Ravens are expected to be run-heavy, but outside of Andrews, Bateman should see his share of targets.

Rapoport's tweet went on to say the $14 million average per year means he’ll make more money through 4 years than any other TE in the league. Andrews is fourth on our TE list. Andrews’ finished with the third-highest per game average at his position. We think Andrews should finish as a midrange TE1 at worst, though the arrival of Rashod Bateman and Sammy Watkins may put some pressure on his targets.

Andrews should return as the primary pass-catching tight end in Baltimore for Week 14, and he walks into a glorious matchup against the Browns who have had issues stopping tight ends all year. Andrews has been somewhat inconsistent this season, but he will be a surefire TE1 in Week 14.

He will obviously miss Tuesday’s game against the Steelers. As Schefter notes, Andrews is now at least the 11th Ravens player to go on the reserve/COVID list. Newly-signed practice squad member Luke Willson may get thrust into action. The Ravens didn’t have anyone else listed at TE on their depth chart. That is, of course, if Willson gets over his illness and gets elevated to the active roster in time for Tuesday’s game.
