Jets activate TE Chris Herndon

We've activated TE Chris Herndon.

Fantasy Impact:

Herndon may have a chance to play in Week 7 but it's against the Patriots. He could have been activated last week but is dealing with a hamstring injury. Herndon has been a popular fantasy pickup as of late and with Sam Darnold back at QB there is some potential upside there, esp. for those hurting at TE or were perhaps Will Dissly owners now in the market for a TE.

RB Carlos Hyde signs with the Seahawks

Former Texans’ RB Carlos Hyde reached agreement with the Seattle Seahawks, per source.

Fantasy Impact:

With Rashaad Penny most likely starting the season on the PUP list and Chris Carson also coming off an injury, it appears Seattle felt the need to bring in some reinforcement to their backfield. Carlos Hyde posted 1,070 and six touchdowns with the Texans last year and will turn 30 years old at the start of the 2020 season.

Frank Gore to sign one-year deal with the Jets

Standout veteran RB Frank Gore is signing a 1-year deal with the Jets, @RosenhausSports tells ESPN. Gore will be reunited with his former coach Adam Gase, with whom he spent the 2018 season.

Fantasy Impact:

Death, taxes and Frank Gore. As long as he's on the football field, Gore is worth a last-round dart throw in best ball formats but is not on the fantasy radar for redraft leagues in 2020.

Andy Dalton to sign a one-year deal with the Cowboys

Former Bengals’ QB Andy Dalton is signing a one-year deal worth up to $7 million that includes $3 million guaranteed with the Dallas Cowboys, source tells ESPN.

Fantasy Impact:

Andy Dalton already lives in the Dallas area so this is an easy move for the veteran QB. His value fantasy is still minimal unless Dak Prescott gets injured.
