Week 7 of the NFL season (and our Monday Night doubleheader) wraps up with an interconference showdown as the Houston Texans visit the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle. This is the lower total of the two MNF games, with the game total set at 41.5 points, and the Seahawks are 3-point home favorites. Both teams are competitive in the playoff pictures, with Houston winning their last two games to reach 2-3, and Seattle coming off a win against Jacksonville that put them at 4-2. Both teams feature excellent defenses, with Houston allowing the fewest points per game in the NFL (just 12.2 points per game) and Seattle allowing the sixth-fewest points per game.

Seattle’s offense features one of the top receivers in the game, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who leads the NFL with 696 receiving yards. The Seahawks rank fifth in the league in passing yards, with QB Sam Darnold feeding Smith-Njigba along with fellow WR Cooper Kupp and TE AJ Barner. Seattle has split work in the backfield this season, with Kenneth Walker III seeing 78 carries and Zach Charbonnet getting 60 carries, but Walker has been the far more efficient runner with 364 rushing yards compared to Charbonnet’s 156 rushing yards.

The Texans are also led by a strong QB-WR pairing, with QB C.J. Stroud connecting with WR Nico Collins for 22 receptions, 312 receiving yards, and 3 touchdowns this season. Nick Chubb leads the ground game with 249 rushing yards, but rookie RB Woody Marks has been coming on in the passing game with 96 receiving yards for the season. With WR Christian Kirk expected to miss this game with a hamstring injury, TE Dalton Schultz and wide receivers Xavier Hutchinson, Jayden Higgins, and Jaylin Noel make up the remainder of the Houston passing game.
