5 Overvalued Fantasy Football Wide Receivers for 2025

Don't look now, but last year's iteration of this column ended up being a bit of a fantasy reaper. Justin Jefferson was great, Malik Nabers outperformed his QB play, and Jordan Addison scored enough touchdowns to return value. But Puka Nacua, Chris Olave, Nico Collins, and Rashee Rice all missed significant time, Jayden Reed was inconsistent, and Rome Odunze was disappointing.
We'll try to keep things clean this time around, no one's hoping for injuries! But the following five names are my biggest concerns for overvalued draft capital and underperformance in 2025.
Xavier Worthy, Chiefs
Xavier Worthy is a tale of two ... well, tales. For the first 10 weeks of his rookie season, he averaged just 7.6 fantasy points per game (61st among WRs over that span). Then, from Week 11 through the Super Bowl, he nearly doubled that mark to 13.3 PPG, which would have been good for WR16 on the season. Of course, all of that occurred without Rashee Rice, and much of it took place during the window Isiah Pacheco returned from injury but was wildly ineffective, and in the NFL playoffs, which we rarely use for fantasy analysis, usually for good reason. So, which Worthy will we see in 2025?
