Fantasy Football Tight End Streaming Week 17: Okonkwo Hits His Stride at the Right Time
We’ve made it. Only one more week of scouring the waiver wires for a vast majority of leagues and with so many teams still in the hunt, we still have a full slate of games to choose from. If you’ve been here from the start, I’m glad we’ve got you plenty of wins to this point; if you need one last tight end to win the trophy, let’s go ahead and dig in.
For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season progresses and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data. Targets and efficiency metrics are also considered when choosing weekly streamers.
To provide the advice you can implement, candidates for streaming must be rostered in no more than 40% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues.
Week 16 Review
It was a pretty big struggle in the semi-finals of the tight end streaming streets, as we had multiple options with plenty of target share, but none of them performed at a level that truly moved the needle. We did see Mike Gesicki find the end zone for the first time since Week 7, as Hunter Henry was indeed eventually ruled out with a knee injury.
Onward and upward for Week 17.
