Rams WR Davante Adams (hamstring) week to week, likely out Week 16

On Monday evening, NFL insider Ian Rapoport provided a somewhat positive update, stating that Davante Adams was considered week-to-week. That likely means Adams will miss the Rams' Week 16 game with the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, but Adams could be available for the regular season stretch run, as well as the playoffs for the NFC leaders.

Fantasy Impact:

Adams, who had been playing through a mild hamstring issue, appeared to worsen the injury on a deep route with 12:42 remaining in the game. Adams pulled up near the end of his route and crashed to the ground, lying on his stomach helmet down knowing the injury was significant, the story said. The short week won't help Adams and his fantasy owners for Week 16 it looks like, and it's a key game in the NFC West as well. Nacua should continue to get plenty of targets in this contest, and the Rams may look to their TEs to pick up some targets as well. Higbee had a catch for 23 yards, but Parkinson went off for a 5-75-2 line on seven targets.

Rams Beat: Team could use more 12 personnel

Rams GM Les Snead also said the Rams have discussed using more 12 personnel, and said they can do a better job of giving veteran TE Tyler Higbee breaks with Terrance Ferguson in the fold now.

Fantasy Impact:

Jackson posted that Snead praised the rookie Ferguson's ball-tracking and body control and said the young TE fits what the Rams want to do offensively. Ferguson can be had at the end of drafts if owners want to take a chance. He's a familiar name for dynasty owners, but doesn't appear to have much fantasy value for redraft leagues right now. Still, it's interesting the Rams could go with more two-TE formations. It could give a boost to the run game as well, especially with QB Matthew Stafford dealing with a back injury.

Rams ink second-round TE Terrance Ferguson

The Rams signed second-round pick tight end Terrance Ferguson.

Fantasy Impact:

As the logjam of unsigned second-round picks breaks, Ferguson received about 83 percent of his contract fully guaranteed. Ferguson could be in the mix almost immediately in the Rams offense. He posted almost 1,600 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns in four seasons at Oregon and, given his size and ability, could become a favorite target sooner rather than later for quarterback Matthew Stafford. Rookie tight ends are always tough to project in their first year. Ferguson is averaging as the 27th tight end off the board.
