Smith has had 16, 9, 12 and 8 touches over his last four games while Gurley has had 9, 8 and 3 over his last three games. Meanwhile, Hill has seen 13, 5, 2 and 7 touches over his last four. Smith has had 8 catches over the last four games but it's only produced 20 yards. As the group, Smith has the lone TD among the three backs, and that was back in Week 12 against the Raiders. Week 1-9, Gurley got anywhere from 14-23 carries a game but has been dealing with a knee injury that has likely changed his role. What all this means is none of these backs are really a safe fantasy play.
It's good information to know now, but probably a week too late for fantasy owners. Smith and Gurley essentially split snaps in the game with Hill coming in a distant third. Gurley loses a ton fantasy value until this situation changes, meaning Smith could very well be the best play in terms of Falcon RBs. However Smith left the game with a head injury.
Gurley has been battling a knee injury which could be the reason for the split. Smith ended up leaving the game with five minutes left with a head injury according to reports. With the start of fantasy playoffs quickly approaching, Gurley owners will want to monitor this situation. The Falcons play the Chargers in Week 14, but there are big question marks surrounding Gurley.

Falcons RB Todd Gurley (knee, questionable) returned to take limited reps Friday after missing practice Thursday and is questionable for Week 13. Gurley didn't practice at all last week but got in limited reps on Wednesday and Friday this week. If Gurley plays, he's not a good option against a very tough Saints rush defense. If he sits, then Brian Hill and Ito Smith would split the work as low-end flex options. The Falcons play early on Sunday.
