Puka Nacua questionable; Rams will evaluate him during Sunday’s warmups

Sarah Barshop

Oct 23 · 3:07 PM EDT

Sean McVay said Puka Nacua will not practice Friday and will be questionable against Las Vegas because of his calf injury. The Rams will evaluate him in a pregame workout before deciding whether he can play.

Fantasy Impact:

Nacua remains a strong start if cleared for his usual workload, but an active designation alone would not eliminate concerns about reduced explosiveness or limited snaps. If he sits, Mumpfield becomes a WR3/FLEX with WR2 upside, Whittington enters deeper-league consideration, and Higbee becomes a stronger TE1 streamer. Stafford would be a riskier start without either starting WR.

Puka Nacua’s calf injury believed to be minor

Puka Nacua’s calf injury is believed to be minor, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Friday. His availability for Sunday against Las Vegas remains uncertain after he left Thursday’s practice early.

Fantasy Impact:

This is encouraging for Nacua’s outlook, but managers should keep a replacement available for Sunday’s late window. He remains a WR1 if cleared for his usual workload. If he sits, Mumpfield would jump into WR3/FLEX consideration with WR2 upside, while Whittington would become a deeper-league option. Higbee would gain streaming appeal, and Stafford would become a riskier start with both starting WRs sidelined.

Rams TEs Colby Parkinson, Terrance Ferguson injured in Week 3

Adam Grosband on X

Sep 28 · 6:57 PM EDT

Rams TE Colby Parkinson suffered an AC sprain and TE Terrance Ferguson suffered a medial ankle sprain.

Related players: Tyler Higbee, Max Klare

Fantasy Impact:

The post went on to say Ferguson will likely miss the Eagles game in Week 4, per McVay, while Parkinson looks like he'll be more day-to-day, giving him a shot to play in Week 4. Fantasy owners just can't seem to know when a Rams TE is going to be relevant for their lineup. No Rams TE stood out in Week 1, while Ferguson put up a 6-54-1 line in Week 2. In Week 3, it was Higbee who went for 8-62-1. Higbee may be an option in Week 4 even if Ferguson is good to go, but both come with risks until there is more consistency.

Rams WR Puka Nacua is doubtful for Week 3

Gary Klein

Sep 25 · 7:34 PM EDT

Puka Nacua is doubtful for game against Broncos, McVay said.

Fantasy Impact:

If Nacua misses again this weekend, we can pencil Adams into another WR1 performance after he crushed in fantasy last week. Ferguson/Parkinson/Higbee should also see a touch more usage, with Ferguson a great streaming option.
