Sheesh. With the lack of firepower, Jones should be more of a desperation streamer if your waiver wire is barren. Bourne and Robinson can probably be left off of lineups as well.

Christian McCaffrey seemed unbothered by the calf issue that crept up Thursday, and he did not appear on Shanahan’s Monday afternoon injury report.

Fantasy Impact:

The story went on to say that despite CMC's 31 touches, the 49ers at least made an effort to give him more breaks than normal. He played 76% of the offensive snaps. By comparison, he played 85% of the snaps in the 2023 opener in Pittsburgh, and that was a blowout win, the story went on to say. Robinson carried nine times for 33 yards. With all the injuries piling up, it's easy to see CMC continuing this pace, especially if he really did escape from Week 1 healthy.

Signs were pointing towards this being the case with McCaffrey reportedly good to go this weekend and being a big part of Saturday’s walkthrough. He’s good to go for your lineups.

49ers RB Christian McCaffrey is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Seahawks but signs are pointing towards him playing.

Fantasy Impact:

It’s certainly understandably frustrating that we’re already talking about injuries again with McCaffrey but it’s better than his calf injury that cost him half the season in 2024. Barring a setback, it looks like McCaffrey will be out there.

The 49ers gave themselves some insurance with the acquisition of Brian Robinson from the Commanders and Isaac Guerendo is still in the mix. But if healthy, CMC still provides a ton of upside heading into Week 1. 49ers-Seahawks kicks off at 4:05.
