Broncos QB Drew Lock (ribs) did not practice Wednesday. Per Adam Schefter he has "pretty severe strain and bruising" but has avoided fractures. His Week 11 status is up in the air. Brett Rypien would draw the start if Lock can't play.
Fangio added in the tweet that "We definitely want Drew to have a good week of a preparation. So that could enter into the equation" as far as a learning curve and if Drew could play without a full week of practice.
Lock has a right shoulder injury that kept him from playing the last two weeks. Head coach Vic Fangio deemed his chances of playing against the Patriots in Week 5 as “50-50” and said the team would see how much progress he’s made early this week, the story said. Rypien started in the win over the Jets and will continue to start if Lock isn’t given the green light to return this week.
