Lions RB Joique Bell is listed as questionable on the Lions’ injury report, but he was still moving gingerly about five days after he said he felt his rib pop in the second half of a 31-17 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Bell did not finish that game and practiced on a limited basis this week. He’ll likely wear some sort of protection if he plays Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, and after he spoke to reporters Friday he peeled a numbing patch off his left side.
Bell admitted he's in a "a lot!!" of pain, writing his answer on a piece of paper rather than answering via mouth with reporters. Bell is a risky play at this point, even if he plays he seems a far cry away from early in the season when he was heavily involved in the passing game.
